The new homemade instrument takes the form of knots as its theme and is made from materials representative of Taiwan. It primarily utilizes knot tying as the main method of playing, while also allowing for audience participation and interaction.

Knots were once a primary means of communication for humans: in the ancient Inca Empire in Peru, there was a system of knot tying used to record events; in ancient China, before the existence of writing, events were recorded using knots, which were then untied after completion; the Amis tribe in Taiwan used knots to record genealogy, and the Bunun tribe used knots to record hunting days.These examples led me to consider whether knots can be transformed into a method of recording and playing sound in modern times.

The installation includes pressure sensors, photoresistors, and touch sensors controlled by a controller to manipulate sound, paired with a MIDI Push2. The sound is mixed with field recordings from the residency in Barcelona, creating a record of the residency journey
