Sound Installation Performance | 2019

LucKid is a combination of the two words “luck” and “kid”. It is inspired by the phenomenon that children and adults often hold different ideas about the definition of precious objects. Try to start from the children’s perspective so the creator can rethink abandoned toys and old objects. Its approach begins with destruction and reconstruction so that the object is reborn. In addition to constantly thinking and attempting, the construction of the work also requires some luck to find a suitable object. Therefore, LucKid combines good luck, children, and a playful combination of words, just like a combination of objects.

From the legend that people make a wish for a meteor, it is connected to the star toy abandoned in the city, just like a meteor landing in the city with people’s desires. The sound installation consists of plastic toys with stars picked up from the street as the main body, and the sound performance becomes a time for the audience to count their wishes.
